  • Responsibility – Overall responsibility for all Menswear samples in the business and assisting Womenswear, Accessories and Childrenswear in a highly pressurised environment with a need to multi-task and re-prioritise on a daily basis according to constantly changing deadlines. Solely responsible for managing the intake of each new collection for Brit, London and Prorsum using our in-house system. Updating and maintaining sample database on a daily basis in order to keep track of all samples. Chasing returns when necessary. Organising luxury sample packs for Press days. Management skills – Managing Showroom Assistants. Co-ordinating with Press, Ecommerce, Marketing department, Celebrity dressing and Photo studio with regards to sample use for large projects such as ad campaigns and the yearly festive initiatives to ensure the brand is showcased in the best possible way. Working alongside Press and Celebrity dressing on a daily basis regarding sample call outs for celebrities and magazine editorials. Communication – Building and maintaining relationships with key people and departments throughout the business. My profile, hard work and enthusiasm was recognised and contributed to my department being nominated for a Burberry Icon Award in 2013 for outstanding achievement. Research and Presentations – Conducting statistical lessons-learnt exercise, identifying any potential problems in existing projects, presenting results in departmental meeting and planning improvements for the new season. Carrying out extensive research and analysis including best sellers, fashion topics such as “The trench”, fabrics, competitor activity and media coverage to present to new starters in the department. Compiling worldwide coverage reports. Sales – Helping to maximise sales to high-profile clients due to passion and extensive knowledge of the product, alongside Wholesale Sales Team.

Attention to detail – Merchandising products according to Burberry’s very high standards. Photographing and cataloguing new garments, including Prorsum runway, according to Burberry’s strict system. Disciplined – Adhering to strict work code in terms of method, expectations and presentation.
