Approachable and well-presented, I was interviewed and hired that day as their stand in receptionist, and took on the workload left by the previous employee who had quit suddenly. I efficiently learnt to use the online database and duties included reviewing potential candidates cv's, meeting and greeting clients and visitors, handling incoming and outgoing calls in a multi-business office, and general office tasks including faxing, printing, photocopying and filing.
The Stylist role encouraged face-to-face customer experience and an in depth understanding of fashion styling, as I was expected to be able to dress customers who wanted to look good but struggled to style themselves. My organisational skills were realised when I joined the stockroom team and I was trusted to work independently ordering, logging and pricing a vast quantities of products. I helped integrate a new initiative that provided a quicker response between customer and product, via a radio response system.
