KEEP HUSH x Ten87 - Event VisualsAs part of Markfield Road Festival, underground dance music community Keep Hush teamed up with production studios Ten87 to host a night dedicated to sustaining creative careers in the music industry. Designing the visuals for the event, I combined hand-drawn, abstract illustration with RGB digital manipulations to reflect the techy, tumultuous and tricky-to-navigate creative career journey - X marks the spot creating a path of connection between the organisers and the creatives involved. I applied for the Wieden and Kennedy Kennedys program, where I was shortlisted with experienced individuals from 140 applicants to 21. I was happy because I had being compared to professional graphic designers and animators, whereas I was self-taught. I learnt how highly creativity is rated within this industry and left wanting to explore mine and think outside the box more often. During my time here, I was also able to witness the ways an advertising agency is run and I found this experience largely exciting. Advertising is an ever-changing industry, and the things that are done to grab the attention of the consumer is being done in varying ways. This experience also confirmed to me that I enjoy being in a creative environment a lot.
