Master of Science (MSc) Mass Communication ManagementNorthumbria Unversity
     - Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
In July 2016, I graduated as a Fashion Communication BA, walking away with pride and a 2:1. However, (along with not willing to let go of student life) I decided I wanted to build my confidence, strengthen my career focus and take my education to Postgraduate level. I have recently completed my studies and graduated with a Mass Communication Management MSc. Throughout that academic year, my work focused digital marketing, advertising and media cultures. I am now able to recognise the framework of mass communication, particularly when it comes to understanding the dynamics of production, distribution and consumption of media communications, at both a national and global level. The course developed me into a critical and independent thinker, especially whilst researching issues, trends and policies in mass communication industries. Some examples of my research titles include: ‘The Mirror of Society: The Economic and Social Importance of Diversity Within the UK’s Creative Industries’; ‘The Roles and Impact of Advertising in the Mass Media’ and ‘Changing Media Trends: The Crisis Facing Journalism in The Digital Age’. I have become highly interested in the digital age and its effects. My final thesis investigated the concept of ‘digital narcissism’, through analysing social media behaviours and the self-presentation of Millennials on social media platforms.

BA (Hons) Fashion Communication 2:1Northumbria Unversity
     - Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
I have been involved in communications since 2013, firstly studying a BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication from Northumbria University, Newcastle. Aside from developing basic fashion knowledge, I gained skills in Adobe Photoshop & InDesign, advertising campaigns, digital marketing, creative writing, editorial journalism and public relations. Some of my most influential opportunities include working on a live marketing project with Dr Martens and an editorial project for Diversity NOW! by i-D Magazine. ‘Audience and Brand Experience’ was a topic I particularly excelled at throughout my three years as a Fashion Communication student. From consumer behaviour analysis to market research, I managed to secure a confident knowledge in digital, conceptual and experiential innovation. In my final year, I had the challenging experience of being Social Media Manager for a Graduate Enterprise company set up with my peers. Running this business alongside my studies became a valuable lesson in organisation, leadership and teamwork. My proudest achievement is designing and creating my own hard copy publication, “The World at Home”. Alongside a promotional marketing campaign, my book offered original creative writing, photography and artwork, with the intention of educating young audiences about cultural diversity within the UK. This course provided me with the ability to adopt a wide range of tones in able to successfully communicate with a variety of audiences.
