About me

My name is Rachel Sneddon and I am a designer and illustrator based in London. I hope this portfolio makes you want to work with me on a number of different projects from editorial design, illustration, art direction, visual strategy and brand strategy. I have six years’ experience working within the industry. My key strengths are: creative design for print and digital formats; brand vision and visual strategy; illustration; typography and a hands-on approach to creativity. I also have experience in painting, sculpture, screen printing and mark-making, and I’m always striving to incorporate these skills into my professional work.

• The Moon Landing AnniversaryThese images are from a brief I received to design visual elements for a story we did as part of the larger moon landing anniversary coverage. Readers from all over the world wrote in with their memories from 1969 and I was tasked with creating a series of imagery to represent each, to go inline in the articles and to adapt for social media.
• Reader RecipesA call-to-action typography and illustration proposal for the Times’ Reader Recipes section.
• Project BurnoutThis was a digital illustration project, creating collage-style artwork for use across all digital channels for The Times.
