Interfaith Voices (Sep 2017-March 2018)Intro Interfaith Voices is 3FF's platform for showcasing views, reflections and creative responses to current issues and interesting themes – and how they intersect with questions of faith, belief and identity. Each month is focussed on a different topic. Responses in all formats including blogs, vlogs, podcasts, poems, songs, photographs, visual art welcomed. Part of my internship was taking charge of Interfaith Voices, this included generating themes for contributors to work with, finding contributors and editing their work so it fit with 3FF's brand guidelines/voice. • 3FF interns present: Tashi and the Monk
3FF interns present: Tashi and the MonkThis was a shared task, done with a group of 5 fellow interns. The goal was to put on a fundraising event with a target of raising £250 with a £40 kitty. The event was centred on screening ‘Tashi and the Monk’, a heart-warming film documentary. We were allowed to screen the film on the proviso that we would donate 10% of our proceeds to Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s community. The event took place at 6pm on 04.12.17 at the 3FF offices. The evening consisted of the film screening, friendship bracelet making, the opportunity to create art, refreshments and a raffle. Managed to keep costs down by receiving donations for food, using the offices as a location and screening the film for free. The only money spent was on the raffle book! Money was raised on the night, through JustGiving donations and Gift aid on JustGiving. We raised a total of £270.32 for 3FF. We received £156.60 from the night, £125 from the JustGiving donations and £18.75 from Gift aid on JustGiving. This gave us a gross sum of £300.35 that came down to a net sum of £270.32 after the 10% amount of £30.03 we donated to the Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s community was deducted.
