Junior Account ManagerNottingham, United Kingdom
About me
My name is Ramnique Thiara and I am an innovative Junior Account Manager, working with London's thriving restaurant scene. I have a rich body of experience in maintaining a busy workload, meeting key deadlines and successfully supporting internal and external projects, whilst reporting back to directors and company founders. I have six years of writing and oral communication experience, regularly writing restaurant campaign press releases for the thriving food scene in London alongside organising and attending key events/openings. My current role has seen me work with 22 of London's best chefs and restaurants, alongside creating and maintaining relationships with journalists from an abundance of publications such as The Guardian, Vogue, The Sunday Telegraph and many more. As a creative individual, I have also helped assist shoots for independent and innovative magazines including Superhero magazine and Polyester magazine. Aside from this, I also worked as a fashion journalist at London based magazine The Upcoming, a culture based online publication, that covers art, music, fashion and much more. Independently attending London Men's Fashion Week on behalf of The Upcoming, I attended CMMN SWDN's season presentation, a menswear label originating from Sweden. I then became a social media and communications assistant for Hector and Noble, a public house in East London. My role was more artistically developed, producing art work including event posters using traditional programmes such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I would define myself as being approachable and sociable which benefited me when organising meetings with leading food bloggers to come and review our cuisine.
