Social Media Marketing Intern

During my internship, I was tasked with researching and writing content for the company’s three magazines, Loud Mag, Grad Mag and Study International, and the publications for their events ‘UK University Search’. This required in depth research into both the UK’s and foreign education systems and degree options.
My role within the company not only allowed me to further develop my skills as a content writer, but I also gained experience in event management.
Editorial Assistant

I was selected to be the intern for EPS’s flagship event, The World Travel Market (WTM).
I became a fully integrated member of the editorial team, and was invited back to attend the WTM event in November as part of their press team.
My role within the company allowed me to experience all the different areas of publishing; I came away with skills in research, proof-reading, formatting magazine layouts and most importantly meeting the deadlines set.

I am a third year Sociology BA student, mainly focussing on Political Sociology and current affairs such as Immigration and Gender Studies. Studying Sociology has allowed me to develop my understanding of the intricate structures that make up our society, and the superstructures that enable it to operate. I have now studied both public and private spheres of life, through modules in Media, Politics, Religion, Health, Tourism and Globalization. Sociology is such a relevant subject as it gives a global perspective on contemporary events and phenomena that occur in everyday life.
