About me
I have 14 years of experience as a sub-editor and production editor at national consumer, client and trade magazines, websites and newspapers. As well as excellent written English, content management software and Adobe InDesign skills, I have experience of managing a team, creating flatplans, copywriting and overseeing the production schedule to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines. I also offer a proofreading and copy-editing service for books (mainly travel and children's fiction) and occasionally write features or reviews.

In this freelance role, I provide production editing support across the Retail Week brand, including the website, fortnightly magazine and daily newsletters. I also work on Retail Week's content marketing arm, from bespoke printed reports and white papers to online guides, digital briefings and native advertising features. As well as sub-editing in Adobe InDesign and Abacus Webvision, my role involves editing and building longform guides on the Shorthand platform, sending out newsletters via Marketo, briefing designers and managing the production desk in the production editor's absence.
