I've always been creative; from script writing, to poetry, to film production - I love all things creative and especially when it's for a good cause. I have spent all my adult life working in media, particularly advertising and marketing, but I am keen to explore my most recent passions in poetry and blogging.
After suffering through a period of depression and anxiety in 2018 I found that writing was a really good release for my emotions and a brilliant way to make sense of the world around us. I started writing about my passions, my experiences, my thoughts and wonders about our world. I shared my writing with friends and family and was so thrilled with the positive feedback that I founded Rebecca Writes. The mission is to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, to move people, to get people thinking and ultimately to let you all know that we are stronger than we think and together we can achieve great things.
Projects
- Volunteer Film Makerin 2016 I spent 3 months in Cambodia volunteering for local NOG's. During this time one of the videos I filmed and produced was for Dara Children, a local NGO providing a safe environment where kids can be kids but where they also learn the importance of education and how to break the cycle of poverty.
