About me
I am a recent University of Leeds Graduate with a First Class degree, currently looking for employment opportunities in media and marketing. My Liberal Arts degree has enabled me to draw links between my major subject of History and my studies in Politics, Philosophy, and Sociology, giving me a great breadth of understanding about the world around me. Having recently completed my dissertation on the history of influencer marketing, I am hugely interested in the opportunities social media and celebrities can bring to the world of marketing, and I feel I am knowledgeable on this topic. As well my interest in marketing, I am deeply passionate about the media, and this is an area I have also been able to build experience within, mainly during my time at Leeds Student Radio. Over the four years I’ve spent at the station, I have interviewed bands such as Sundara Karma, Jaws and Bad Sounds, been elected as Weekend Editor and run my own shows and gigs. I believe my hard working and dedicated nature has been clearly exhibited through both my high academic grades, as well as my achievements within my extra curricular work at Leeds Student Radio.

I have worked part-time as a Barista throughout my studies, providing me with time management and organisational skills. Here I have been frequently tasked in training younger, newer members, as well as supervising them whilst on shift, enabling me to learn essential management skills. This job has also allowed me to develop proficient skills in customer service, as I am now confident speaking to customers in a professional and friendly manner. As well as this, I can easily adapt to any fast paced working environment.

I completed a week of work experience with BBC Radio Leeds, where I was able to help in co producing several shows, finding guests and engaging in interviews for the station. From this I was also given a 40-minute slot on an episode of Joel Mitchell’s Tuesday night show to give my opinions on recent album releases.

My final dissertation was focused around the history of fashion influencer marketing, receiving a score of 85 and described by my tutor as “one of the best” dissertations that she had read at Leeds.
