Working to high targets, I create thorough and accurate product descriptions, sensitive to the style and tone of the fashion boutiques represented globally by Farfetch and Browns Fashion. Solid focus, speed and a watertight command of spelling, grammar and garment terminology are critical, as well as an extensive awareness of each luxury brand’s core pillars.
As a features writer and interviewer, I have contributed to titles such as Teen Vogue, Wonderland, The L’Officiel Hommes, The Last Magazine, Is In Town and ZOO, where I also sub and proof each issue prior to print.
Devising creative copy for large product blocks, an acute attention to detail, fast pace and an empathy with the consumer mind have been pivotal to keeping content fresh, developing a sharpened, intuitive approach. Here, familiarity with MTS software and sales reports have rounded my understanding of the industry from the inside out.
Operating within the Content team, I have been working with Urban Outfitters to create engaging copy for the EU online platforms and mailing list, responding to strategy briefs, creative concepts and emerging tastes and trends.
My specialism is the point at which culture and society intersect, exploring capitalism’s fraught relationship to class, taste and gentrification throughout my postgraduate studies in Fashion Communication at Central Saint Martins.
