Editorial AssistantBedrock Learning
Norwich, United KingdomFull Time
• Proofread lesson documents before they were transferred over to a new website.
• Learnt to use Articulate Storyline and Google sheets to organise all the website content ready for transferring.
• Worked in a small team to make sure the learning content was correctly mapped for the website creators, which made me very thorough in detecting errors.
• Moved on to audio editing. Learnt to use Adobe Audition and made sure the recordings matched the script, whilst also editing audio together to correct errors.
• Website testing; made sure the new website worked efficiently and if not, logged down the errors or fixed them on the website’s admin panel.
• Software development; migrated schools into the new site by checking all their data was correct and then researching their relevant information.
• Content creation; wrote definitions, sentences and metaphors for key words that were used in the new website lessons. Adapted each definition to suit younger pupils.
• Wrote fiction and non-fiction stories that included tier 2 words for the pupils to engage with and learn from. This adapted my creative abilities by using my own imagination whilst also working to a brief.
• Mapped entire lessons and questions; including metaphors, synonyms and antonyms of the tier 2 words using templates for the lessons that best suit the pupil’s learning.
