About me
I’m Reed McCormick and I’m a 24-year-old graphic designer from Hastings, working in Brighton as a junior designer. I have a passion for music, fashion, art, and design. I have always taken a strong interest in art and consider myself an illustrator as well as a graphic designer. I have an online shop which I run where I sell my own prints. I enjoy going to festivals of all sorts and seeing the world. I like to try and incorporate my experiences and interests into my work when possible.

I completed a work placement with the design studio Playne Design, Where I took on several roles, learned how to use the server correctly for an organised way of saving files. Mocking up physical printouts and folding precisely ready to be sent off to the printers. Worked as a team to pick and crop images for a website the studio was working on. Designed icons to be used on a website the studio was building. I found it extremely useful working as a team in a studio work alongside real deadlines with big clients. I was working from 9 am til 6 pm everyday but staying in late was common to ensure we got the work into the client on time. Working at a studio has made me realise I definitely want to get a job in a design studio when I leave university as I enjoy working as a team.
