About me
Rhys Owain Williams is a writer from Swansea, Wales. His first poetry collection, That Lone Ship, was published by Parthian in 2018. Rhys is an editor of The Crunch and The Ghastling magazines, and is a Hay Festival Writer at Work. In 2018 he became the literature co-ordinator for The Swansea Fringe. Through his writing, Rhys has responded to various artistic commissions, with clients including Art in Site, The Poetry Takeaway, VCCP and Nationwide Building Society.

  • 12 Voices of Christmas
    12 Voices of ChristmasIn 2018, I was recorded reading my poem 'Too Many Christmases' by creative agency VCCP for Nationwide Building Society's ‘12 Voices of Christmas' advertising campaign. The initial commission to pitch the idea to VCCP was from The Poetry Takeaway. My poem, about the challenges of splitting my Christmas Day between my parents, was one of a dozen from people across the UK expressing their thoughts and feelings about Christmas.
