- Halfway Houses | Golf DigestPirin Country Club in Bulgaria is home to a championship golf and a unique Halfway House. Overlooked by the soaring 9000' Pirin Mountain, this traditional wood and stone cabin is right in the heart of the golf complex, with chipping, putting and practice range right outside the front door. A traditional Balkan barbecue and select local dishes make this stop-off very difficult to move on from, as Iona Stephen discovered.
