Riikka Hyvönen is a professional high end editorial and commercial retoucher. She's specialising in beauty, fashion, still-life and portraits and she is working internationally with award winning photographers, magazines and advertising agencies.
In addition to that, she is a visual and makeup artist, as well as a hairdresser.
Based mostly in London, Riikka has worked in the fields of make-up and hair for the last decade. Throughout the years, she has developed an aesthetic passion for beauty and appearance: from the transformative makeup of performance artists to editorial preciseness of magazine images and everyday importance of beautiful haircuts, her experience has taught her to work with various different types of images.
Having painted for as long as she can remember, Riikka holds a BFA degree in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths, and is about to graduate with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Her artist eyes can distinguish the finest alterations of colour in every frame.
