About me
INGREDIENTS
1 creative person, slightly matured
2 tablespoons aptitude
1 piece of aesthetic flavouring
6lbs hard work and sweat
4 ideas more than most
salt of the earth to taste
Take a creative person and stir in some aptitude, thoroughly from the start. In time, mix in the aesthetic flavouring with the most appropriate tool at hand, and then, fold into the mix as much of the hard work and sweat that the mix can take. Sprinkle in the ideas; the more the better. And finally, as all is cooking, a pinch of 'salt of the earth' to give it the necessary character. Leave to cook over time and serve when required. Tasty treat in a tasteless world.

Projects
- "Bullying the Bear"A Swiss financial organisation approached me at my regular trading post of Fiverr Pro. their request was to do a detailed illustration of a classic visual euphemism of the stock market; the bear and the bull. they required the artwork be warm, inviting and show the two creatures seated at a fire place discussing money over a drink. The challenge was on!
- Nissos Homebrew Challenge Caricature MascotMy dad used to HomeBrew, and so this project was exciting to me. One of my joys is building up new characters, and caricaturising them. The process I refer to is what I call digital collage. Finding many reference images and then sketching the necessary part of those images to slowly create a character. This illustration was no exception. It was built up of a total of ten images, and was designed to highlight a challenge a Tinos based brewery (Cyclades Microbrewery at Tinos island) set to create
- Go Kart a ChristmasAfter a very successful Christmas cover commission from New Scientist last year, this November I received the call from the creative director Craig Mackie to see if I could do the artwork for this years cover as well. I stepped up and luckily I had the time available to get the artwork achieved. Below you can see the printed final version on the cover of the magazine. It varies slightly from the version that was rendered and presented, but this was to avoid too much similarity in the previous y
- "Ratatouille - Blood Sweat and Tears!"After the initial project over at Fiverr Pro I quickly received the second. This one proved to be a more daunting challenge. Needless to say, I jumped to the challenge of doing this rather complex illustration, for a UK based catering service called "Blood, Sweat and Tears". The aim of the Gig (as they are called) was to do a parody caricature mock-up of "Ratatouille" style kitchen as in the movie's famous Gusteau Kitchen. I am pleased to announce as well, that on May 5th 2019, the image won an
- Seven Beaufort IllustrationIn mid September, 2014 Cyclades Microbrewery at Tinos island, a small island brewery on Tinos Island in the Cyclades, producing craft beer under the brand name “NISSOS beer”, contacted me regarding an illustration commission. In the early stages, the project was about an illustration for a beer label. To be achieved in my photo realistic style (found by the client through my animal artworks). After some discussion with the owner, it was suggested and agreed to make an illustration that could
- Nissos All Day LabelAfter the success of the "7 ??????" (7 Beaufort) label design created in September, 2014 Cyclades Microbrewery at Tinos island, a small island brewery on Tinos Island in the Cyclades, producing craft beer under the brand name "NISSOS beer", asked me to continue the design collaboration, into a new product. In this instance, the design would be purely graphical and minimalistic. After some discussion with the owner, it was suggested and agreed the label was important in the fact that it should re
