The Kölner Design Akademie (KDA) is an art & design school located in Cologne, Germany with international partners such as Middlesex University London and Curtin University Perth. Founded in 2004, the institute offers practice-oriented education in the fields of graphic design, communication design and illustration. In addition to the curriculum students are challenged with real briefs and work with project partners including the likes of University Hospital Cologne, Fraport AG and Bayer AG. KDA runs multidisciplinary semester programs and provides critically important knowledge in art history, typography, editorial design, photography, illustration, print, webdesign, marketing and branding.
