I spent 18 months working, studying, and living in Kunming, Yunnan, China. During my time there, I took full-time classes in Mandarin. As such, I have managed to pass my HSK5 examination in November 2018 (thus, I can speak Mandarin to an advanced level).

In Belgium I studied Chinese language & culture for 2 years. I took courses in Chinese language, culture, politics, history, geography, etc.
In addition, I also used various research techniques (mostly qualitative) and wrote various academic research papers.
Lastly, during the summer of 2016 I did an intensive language course in Mandarin at the Fudan University in Shanghai.
