Welcome to my profile! I am an accomplished Illustrator and Author with a history in editorial and children's illustration. Over the past fifteen years, I've contributed my art to various projects, creating captivating visuals for over 40 published books. My expertise spans numerous sectors, including magazines, books, animation, advertising, and education.
As the Founder of Robin Boyden Illustration since August 2007, I've worked with esteemed clients such as Puffin, Harper Collins, and Scholastic. I authored the picture book 'Gerald Needs A Friend' and the 200-page graphic novel 'Georgia And The End Of The World,' both published in April 2021 by Francis Lincoln and David Fickling Books, respectively. My commitment to education is evident in my latest project – 'Grow Don't Mow - Gardens Around The World,' an educational non-fiction book set to be published in March 2024.
Earlier in my career, I served as a Junior 2D Character Artist and Animator at Tag Text, contributing to mobile device animations. Additionally, my passion for teaching led me to volunteer as a Tutor at the University of Gloucestershire, where I crafted lectures on the visual language of animatics and provided one-to-one critiques.
My educational journey includes a 1st class BA (Hons) in Illustration from Falmouth University, an MA in Art and Design from the University of Hertfordshire, and a Certificate in Business from the Open University.
I'm extending my knowledge through online tutoring on platforms like SuperProf, where I conduct tutorial classes, provide feedback on artworks, and share insights on using visual language to craft compelling narratives in sequential illustration.

Projects
- Robin Boyden - Editorial Illustrations - BBC FocusEditorial illustrations for BBC Focus Magazine. I was commissioned to create two monthly illustrations for the magazine's 'Patent' page. This section of the publication looked at quirky and interesting patents for new inventions. I worked in Illustrator and Photoshop and the Art Director was Joe Eden.
