Part of a specialised digital production team within O&M Advertising's creative department. My role was to guide the design development of new concepts and brand guidelines so they work brilliantly in digital formats. I was brought in initially to look after the design, animation and production of digital advertising for Expedia’s "Travel Yourself Interesting" campaigns across multiple markets. Subsequently, my role expanded to also include digital brand guideline development for Philips and BP, production of animated / video social media content for Pizza Hut, plus banner design / animation for American Express, Amnesty International and the Cabinet Office.
Working with the company's Advertising and PR divisions we created social media content for IKEA, digital advertising for the UK Government’s Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) and website design and build for SsangYong cars and infrastructure support provider Amey. The highlight was conceptualising and designing a mind-controlled game for BIS promoting their "Sirius" programme for entrepreneurs – the game uses pioneering electroencephalographic technologies which allow you to control it using your thoughts.
Established since 1872, Dewynters has created some of the world’s most iconic theatre brands including The Phantom of the Opera, Cats and Les Misérables. It is the leading full-service agency in the theatre, arts and live entertainment sector. I created digital design and animation elements for many large integrated campaigns including immersive multimedia websites, rich-media banners (using Sizmek and Flash) and digital out-of-home advertising (using After Effects), as well as social media apps and content. My primary accounts were Disney, Universal, Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group.
As part of the in-house graphics team I was responsible for the design, production and project management of a wide range of digital and printed materials for marketing, education and fund-raising purposes. I am particularly proud of a large-format touchscreen project which I wholly managed; three of these screens were installed in the theatre foyer windows by London’s Southbank, allowing passers-by to easily browse an electronic version of the season brochure. I designed the interface then built it in Adobe Flash using ActionScript.
