     - Port Elizabeth, South AfricaInternship
    - Through my internship position I initiated the company’s social media management by generating positive media interest through my creation and population of various online platforms. - I provided a visitor friendly environment within my front of house duties with the aim to encourage interaction between the walk through guests and the exhibition pieces. - Public Relations were integral to the continued support from the general public and surrounding communities, through my internship the gallery benefited from public engagement through successful press releases and interest statements informing the public of upcoming events and exhibitions etc. - I was also able to successfully create awareness for the gallery on a national level. Through conceptualising and administering an open call exhibition to emerging artists, I was able to further cement the gallery’s reputation as an institution into the national art and public market. - By implementing my graphic design modules in Photoshop and InDesign I was able to cut outsourced design costs involved in producing all relevant marketing material in both print and digital media.

Mtech Photography (Cum Laude - Distinction)Nelson Mandela University
     - Port Elizabeth, South Africa
For my MTech project I chose to study ways in which photographers, specifically socially and culturally concerned photographers, are moving from two-dimensional flat photographic imagery towards incorporating three-dimensional installation techniques in their works to create more visual impact and public engagement. I used the case study of stigmatism towards Persons With Albinism in Southern Africa to experiment with these three-dimensional techniques, unpacking the stigmatism story in a visually immersive photographic installation exhibition. This was done to re-engage and impact a visual society who craves intense ephemeral visual experiences. A link to the exhibition is included here : http://www.robynlarkinphotography.com/portfolio/skin-deep/ Through this degree I have experience in: - Academic Writing - Qualitative Research Methods - Studio shooting - Location shooting - Three-dimensional installation techniques - Large format printing - Exhibition administration - Creating online content - Digital and print marketing strategies
