My role as International Business Development Manager has been to generate and secure new business not only in geographies in which Sheridan & Co already operates but drive penetration and expansion into new markets globally. My responsibilities have included: Working autonomously but also collaboratively with other departments to maximise opportunities Developing a profound understanding of the company’s products, strengths and competitive advantages Developing and implementing a strategic and consultative sales approach Preparing and developing all presentations and relevant case studies for presentations Approaching and pitching to the very top level of senior management in multi-national companies Delivering all company pitches and presentations Developing cost proposals for each individual project Management of the prospective and speculative sales pipeline Management of the negotiation and closing process Managing and maintaining and growing long term business relationships Management of the online client CRM system Creating weekly sales reports for Senior Management Creating comprehensive contact reports from individual meetings and business trips Attending domestic and international trade shows to expand the prospect database This has resulted in the substantial growth of the company’s new business account both domestically and overseas and subsequently the size of our London offering in terms of products and personnel. It has also resulted in our effective development and expansion into markets such as the US (New York, Miami, San Francisco, Las Vegas), Europe (Paris, Cannes, Venice, Geneva, Barcelona, Lisbon, Glasgow) and the Middle East (Dubai, KSA). Amongst the companies successfully targeted and converted include the likes of Christian Dior, Clarins, Remy Cointreau, Tom Ford, Casio, Chanel, Philips, Breitling and Selfridges.
