  Flying the Plane While Building ItThe saying "Flying the plane while building it" was used often in my most recent place of work and was inspired to come up with a small project to illustrate this saying. My technical skills, although proficient, were far from what I wanted for this endeavor, so I reached out to some artists for an opportunity to collaborate. Multiple inquiries were sent, 4 responded, and decided to work with Leigh Le Roux (instagram: @leighleroux), an artist from South Africa to come up with an illustration

  Si La Vida Fuera Mezcal BottleA collaboration with a Si La Vida Fuera Mezcal to design a bottle for their new varietals. The bottle pays homage to local Zapotec culture in Oaxaca, the arts and craft community, plus captures the essence of Si La Vida Fuera. Part of the project required we travel to Oaxaca for research. Once there, we spoke with local artisans, master Mezcaleros, and members of the Zapotec community to ensure we intentionally captured their story.
