- Swamp Motel X Deloitte | life:modeSwamp Motel, working alongside Deloitte, set up a fictional brand, life:mode, and offered a fake product to the public at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The patch claimed to give you the dopamine kick that we tend to get from our phones, to wean us off using them so much. I was brought in to create a more immersive, impactful video than what they already had.
- Swamp Motel | Plymouth Point TeaserPlymouth Point is an immersive, online detective game that takes you from the comfy confines of the Plymouth Point Residents Watch into the heart of a deeply unsettling conspiracy. Using only stock footage and images from the internet, I created this promo trailer.

I left Brainlabs to pursue my interest in videography and video editing. I found I had a knack for creating truly compelling video content that broke the mould; my videos aim to be genuinely different and engaging.
I helped immersive experiential events agency, Swamp Motel, publicise their unique offer through engaging, showreels featuring project highlights which could be translated onto social media. Despite being just over a year old, Swamp’s clients already include Cadbury, M&C Saatchi, Dishoom, Capcom and Propercorn, and they picked up a Campaign Event award in 2018. I also was brought in to create an award winning submission for Brainlabs at the Agency of the Year awards in 2019.

In 2017, Brainlabs was the 4th fastest-growing business in Europe. Joining a team of eight in June 2014, I eventually owned creative direction of the agency, managing a department of four and executing a marketing strategy that helped the agency grow to over 200 people, with offices in London and Austin, become thought leaders and innovators in the industry, as well as win awards for being an amazing place to work.
I was responsible for all aspects of the agency’s creative output, including setting out and cementing our brand positioning and tone of voice, social media presence, co-authored the Brainlabs Handbook, handled the website, newsletter, blog copy, paid advertising campaigns, events, PR, video production (idea generation, writing, directing, editing, promotion [https://vimeo.com/roryajones]), graphic design, creative pitch assets and any audio/visual work as required. I mastered the industry awards process and put together every entry, winning 49 in three years.
