I spent 5 weeks working in the Life Sciences team at Informa.
The division of Informa I was working in is the leading industry platform enabling clients and customers to acquire essential knowledge and develop relationships that support innovative discoveries, development and commercialization across the extended life sciences value chain.
During my time at Informa I learnt about the marketing strategies and methods behind putting on knowledge and networking events in the Life Sciences industry. This involved research into Clinical Trials, Chemical Industry Regulation, Crops and Chemicals and Biocidal Products.
>Learnt about the key role marketing plays and the various strategies employed in delivering successful conferences
>Developed my desk research and multi-tasking skills working on multiple conferences at the same time
>Understood the central role social media activity can play in accurately targeting potential conference attendees and delivering key messages about the content of conferences
>I was trained in and became proficient on various social media tools that are used by the company including:
-Sprinklr (A unified customer experience management platform for enterprises that provides social media marketing, social advertising, content management, collaboration, advocacy and social media monitoring.
-LittleBird (A social media management and monitoring tool which analyzes social data to deliver insights for smarter enterprise marketing)
-MailChimp (An email marketing service)
UnBounce (A custom landing page builder)
