Rosa is founder and editor-in-chief of THE SMART VIEW, a magazine for mobile photography. After being trained as a graphic designer she studied Fine Art Photography at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg, Germany where she concentrated her final years of study on researching in the field of mobile photography. Projects
- Nuvola by Piero PercocoAs part of the Open Store program of my indie magazine, I'm also helping artists to come up with new products and edition. One of them is Piero Percoco, south italian mobile photographer who suffered of insomnia during this crisis. The pillow he created is a symbol of the past and future and the line we line we have to trespass in order to change between these two realities. Piero wishes nice dreams for everyone.
- Open Store Program for Artists in Crisis - Palmz by Alessandro VenerandiWe know that our community of creatives is especially affected by the 2020 crisis, that's why we opened our online store in collaboration with third party platforms Printful and Squarespace to our community to sell their art work online and provide them with an extra income during these unprecedented times.
- Rosa's Garage Sale - Pop-Up E-CommerceSpontaneous project ideas are the best. Corona hit and now I have to raise money in every possible way I can. I thought about selling off some stuff on a flea market but found that flea markets during a pandemic aren't really the best option right now. So I created a pop-up e-commerce that's opening this Sunday 4th October from 10 am (Berlin time) and I will sell off some of my prints, illustrations and handcrafted stuff like my wonderful Lockdown Socks, but also camera equipment. I hope to rais

The idea for TSV came up end of 2014 going with the trend of mobile cameras. I've been interested in this kind of advancement in photography since my studies at the University of Fine Arts. Mobile photography back then was not well recognised as a valuable media for art production. I've never worked on a magazine before but thought it would be the right medium to give talented mobile photographers voice and a standpoint within the art context. I founded everything from scratch, and besides having some temporary fellows on the projects I've took over the whole range of work you can imagine to be done to create such kind of project. There is nothing you can't learn, I like to say and with that in mind it took one weekend to learn coding and set up the magazine's web page on my own. It's not a webdesigners masterpiece but it worked. As I'm a very organized and precise person I planned through the whole project and finished up two weeks before the release party having everything ready to be published. I'm proud to say that I managed to release the first issue of TSV after a successful crowdfunding campaign at the Triennial of Hamburg 2015 as part of the Oberhafen Night being one of 5 exhibition openings during that event.
The magazine itself runs on English, what made it possible to let it travel the world. Readers come from US, South America, Russia, Australia, UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and many many more. TSV can be seen as a filter and as a decelerator. Submissions to the magazine are drawn from hashtags and online submissions filtered through online features and fine selected for a high quality print magazine that offers artists not to get only published printed it also supports them by organizing exhibitions and events along a release.
Currently the magazine runs solely online due to a lack of sponsorships but I never stop to dream about the next issue to come.
