About me
Rosalita Baldassin (1997) is an emerging curator based in London. She graduated from Kingston School of Art with an MA in Curating Contemporary Design, her academic background includes Product and Communication Design. She collaborated with Dirty Furniture as a researcher for the magazine’s contribution to the 5th Istanbul Design Biennal: The Critical Cooking Show.
In her practice, she is interested in how contemporary curatorial strategies can question audience perception to challenge and resist dominant hetero-normative narratives. Beyond the exhibition space, she investigates the power of audience participation and engagement through public programmes, trans-disciplinary and collaborative approaches. Other themes guiding her practice are otherness, class, accessibility and representation.

- The Design Film Festivalthedesignfilmfestival.com The Design Film Festival - curated by the students from MA Curating Contemporary Design, Kingston University in partnership with the Design Museum, London -, is part of a collaborative programme between HEAD-Genève, Parsons The New School and Kingston School of Art, led by Alexandra Midal, Ulrich Lehmann and Jana Scholze. The online festival consists of a platform that is jointly hosted by the Design Museum and the Institut Français du Royaume-Uni. Within the programm
- TownAct!TownHouse collaborative project with MA Fashion, led by Jana Scholze and Richard Sorger. The group project saw the development of TownAct!, a proposal for a 3-phase Public Programme aiming at building and enhancing sense of community amongst Kingston University students, staff and Kingston local participants. The proposal focused on developing a programme on the topic of Fashion Sustainability.
