I am a motivated retail & communications professional who can offer a client-oriented approach. Since I will be earning my Bachelor’s degree shortly, I am looking for a position that allows me to combine my strategic helicopter view with out of the box thinking. Within this store that consists of three floors, I was in part responsible for: - Managing a team of 15; - Training the team daily per the PVH principles; - Implementation of the Denim Ambassador project; - Maintaining Visual Merchandise; - Pursuing and monitoring targets and KPI's; - Stock management and replenishment.
During my time as part of the Retail Marketing & Events team, by tasks included: - Serving as an intermediary for agents and retailers; - Organisation of in-store events to increase brand awareness and sell through; - Coordination of the distribution of sample collections among agents; - Organization of the Varova Fashion sample sale; - Co-development of a new shop staff training system; - Providing assistance to the PR and Sales departments.
Within this role I was responsible for all operational matters of the newly opened flagship store. Since the concept of Silvercreek had been renewed, one of the biggest challenges was to navigate between the different wishes of the CEO, the Marketing Manager and employees and the Area Manager. I enjoyed searching for the middle ground between these interests and opinions and finding innovative ways to implement practical solutions. My tasks included: - Managing a team of 7; - Recruitment and training of new employees; - Staff scheduling; - Maintaining Visual Merchandise; - Creating a system for composing, monitoring, pursuing and rewarding KPI’s and targets.
During my time at the Levi's® store, I was partly responsible for: - Managing a team of 10; - Recruitment and training of new employees; - Stock management; - Preparing and leading stock takes; - Pursuing and monitoring targets and KPI's; - Implementing the Levi's® Tailor Shop; - Training the teams of newly opened stores; - Organizing the back offices of newly opened stores.
The General Cultural Studies program studies the role of the cultural and creative industries through a social, cultural, political and economic perspective. Personally, I focused my program on fashion, media and communication related courses.
