Experienced journalist and content producer with a passion for music. In the past, I have interviewed leaders in the tech industry such as Daniel Burrus, Jacqui Taylor, Avrohom Gottheil, Chieu Cao and Blair Pleasant.
I am now specialising in music journalism, and have interviewed artists such as DJ RayRay, Ayuko, Yudes, Freeman Chieu and Garv tha Rapper across China/Taiwan/USA.
Projects
- All Day FestivalDuring my time in Canterbury, I spent time organising live music events throughout the city with my promotional team "Big Salad Promotions". Eventually, we found a venue called Chromos with whom we hosted frequent live music events. We then teamed up with Easter Island Records to host and organise an all day festival in Canterbury called "DI...WHY??? FEST" in which bands from London, Brighton and also the local Kent area came to play from 1pm-10pm on 29th October.
- Various events for Kent Experimental Music SocietyAs president/founder of the Experimental Music Society at the University of Kent, I found myself involved in various projects that allowed the society to grow and to keep people involved. During this time, I negotiated with artists to create concerts that would allow our members to have a first hand experience of live experimental music. I even booked Edinburgh based noise artist "Kapil Seshasayee" to come down to play an exclusive show in Canterbury for our society. I also regularly hosted jam sessions for our members to come down and play in various forms of music.

- Founded a website that specialises in interviewing up and coming Chinese hip hop, R&B and urban artists.
- Interviewed Chinese, Hong Kongese and Taiwanese artists such as DJ RayRay, Luna is a Bep, Ayuko, Yudes, Freeman Chieu and Garv tha Rapper via podcasts, articles and stylised video essays.
- Developed an artistic direction that best reflected Chinese hip hop and hired an artist to create artwork in that style, taking influence from the neon aesthetic that is so prevalent in Guangzhou region.
- Used demographic segmentation to discover my target market and then catered my writing style towards them.
