About me
I am currently working as a Marketing and Finance Assistant at Ark, an international charity transforming lives through education. Before this, I spent several months interning at the mental health charity, Mind CHWF. Here I led on a multitude of marketing campaigns and events to raise money to keep their life-saving mental health services running.
I graduated in July 2017 from the University of Exeter with a 2:1 Single Honours BA in English. I am a positive, sociable individual and also a keen traveller, fitness fanatic and avid book-reader.

Working within a small BD team, we developed a marketing strategy from scratch meaning that I managed a busy workload and multiple projects. Originally on an 8-week contract, they thought that my contribution warranted the extension of my internship twice to provide critical support for two major events, as well as other general tasks.
• Campaign Management & Relationship Building: developed marketing strategy for Hackney Half Marathon fundraising campaign; recruited 95 runners (triple our initial goal); raised £40K (double original target); problem-solving for runners; first point of contact for the press; social media (targeted Facebook ads & Twitter posts); poster and flyer drops; liaison with suppliers
• Social Media: scheduling posts on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn using Hootsuite and a social media calendar; creating targeted Facebook ads; increased Twitter following by 500 in 7 months despite previous inactivity
• Event Organisation: ‘Movies with Mind’ outdoor cinema event and ‘Take a Pause’ Wellbeing Festival – running multi-channel marketing campaigns to boost ticket sales; building relationships with external agencies, suppliers, local residents and the council; using online and offline marketing techniques to maximise outreach
