Ruth is a creative leader, with a track record in working at a senior level internally, and as an independent consultant. She has delivered growth and built brand equity through innovative product and brand programs, and has led multi-year strategy and internal venture programmes.
From 2013 she led Made.com product design from punchy start-up through to IPO, via three new collections a week, several new product categories and a crowdfunding platform for emerging design.
As VP Design at MOO she spearheaded a strategic product diversification, building and leading a new products team, an agile process and a multi-year sustainable product and creative strategy, alongside commissioning a brand strategy and identity refresh.
A passion for fostering sustainable practices in her work, and beyond as a trustee of an environmentally focussed fund, has included steering corporate strategy, commissioning Lifecycle Analyses and implementing best-practices for design and source. She has an interest in design for aging in place where she has supported a start-up in the space.
Ruth champions playfulness in pursuit of creativity. With a knack for combining creative and consumer insight with data she is expert at applying design-thinking practices to make the projects she pilots fun, innovative and effective.
She was named in Marketing Week’s top 50 CX professionals, and as one of Creative Pool’s top 100 influencers. She has won and judged various awards including D&AD, Design Week and Creative Pool, alongside appearing as a speaker, in the press and as a guest on BBC Radio 4.
