I have just completed my final year as a Music Journalism student at The University of Sussex (studied at BIMM Brighton) and I am looking to get stuck into the industry by finding trainee / internship positions in order to prepare me for a career in PR and Journalism. I absolutely love working within the creative industries and I want to begin to build on my knowledge, and learn more notable skills in order to further my understanding of creative marketing and the various PR strategies and applications.

I am working at The Warren as part of Brighton Fringe Festival in the summer of 2021.
My job is to ensure COVID regulations are adhered to, help design the site and make sure it Is maintained accordingly and ensure that everyone who comes to our site is well looked after and being tended to correctly.
Fringe Theatre is an exciting event to work in, as you meet so many different individuals all with great passions for the arts. It is something I’ve always enjoyed working on and I believe my time at The Warren and Brighton Fringe will pay dividends in the years to come.

I have a degree in Music Journalism from Sussex University, I studied at BIMM Brighton and attended lectures across the city of Brighton & Hove.
This means I have had the creative industries training necessary to market and plan strategies effectively, whilst also having the academic backbone of the Sussex Curriculum, to give me a perfect balance of pragmatic industry experience as well as a strong level of knowledge and philosophy into not only how music has shaped the world, but the responsibility of marketing and its influence on the population.
Key Achievements:
- Created a 16 page magazine on the exploits of the Coffee Industry
- Designed real life PR campaigns with all the necessary marketing frameworks
- Interviewed Sleaford Mods for a BIMM Masterclass and got paid for my services.
- Helped designed the Student Magazine from the ground up, with a budget on £10,000 (Tempus Mag UK)
- Completed my dissertation on how music technology is influencing Eastern Africa in relation to the global north.
