During my time at Joseph I managed all graphic output for the brand; from lookbooks, CRM, new website content concepts (design and html build) to internal comms. A a very hands and pro-active role.
One of my main responsibilities within my recent senior role at F&F has been to push the brand forward in terms of editorial concepts and design. A pivotal part of the role has involved future proofing design approaches for the brand; formulating responsive and flexible editorial concepts that are functional, beautiful and adaptable across platforms in line with customers shopping habits. Another key responsibility of mine was to mentor and develop the junior members of the design team, I believe it is important to encourage individuals to generate unique ideas through discussion and experimentation, thus allowing them to have a more tangible engagement with a brand.
My position as a middleweight demanded a high level of self motivation and time management often working to extremely tight deadlines. The job evolved to span a breadth of roles as well as design. Whilst maintaining the brand’s high visual standards in typography and composition in design work, I regularly mentored team members and oversaw the editorial content of weekly e-marketing. I relished exploring new territories within the business in order to develop the brand’s online presence. Through pitching new promotional concepts and methods to directors and buyers I was able to elevate the quality of the company’s online editorial content, whilst also raising awareness of our department business wide. I helped to devise seasonal e-commerce strategies for product and trend promotion. I particularly enjoyed drafting editorial concepts, styling products and working with photographers.
During my previous position at The Vast Agency I gained a wealth of experience within a studio environment. An extremely varied role from day to day; from supporting the senior designer or actively managing full projects from concept to delivery. I have experience of pitching to clients, creating drafts, sourcing print materials and processes to organising printing and distribution. An integral part of the role was ensuring time was adequately allocated throughout the studio through account managers, printers, developers and clients to ensure assets were delivered effectively.
