I am a graduate of English and Film Studies building a career in the marketing and music industries. My current role as an acquisition executive for Performics (Publicis Media) has provided me with insight into marketing campaigns, reporting and analytics, audience behaviour, and digital media.
However, my love of creativity and writing, as well as a strong passion for music, has encouraged me to transfer to the content, programming, press or marketing remit of the music industry. A position in these areas would allow me to flourish in a role that I am already currently immersing myself in, through the music publication Trouve la Groove.
Running the digital music publication Trouve la Groove alongside my full-time employment has helped me to progress within both my professional and personal life, as each side compliments and educates the other. Through operating this passion project I am fulfilling multiple roles: writing; editing; playlist curation; press communications; events organisation; social media marketing; music programming; website management/design; music research.
By balancing my work deadlines, overseeing passion projects, along with a busy social life, I am able to achieve targets and goals in all aspects of my life - through managing my time efficiently and utilising room for productivity. My travel experience has also encouraged me to explore different cultures and discover more of the world, a career in the music industry could assist me with this in the future.

• Created, designed, and implemented a professional website using a blog style format, as well as designing a logo and playlist icons incorporating the logo.
• Written many articles, predominantly reviews and feature pieces.
• Playlist curation – consistently carrying out research into artists, genres, and general music history, along with music exploration through various platforms, to build and curate playlists. Within Spotify these playlists are designed to mix, providing the 12 second cross-fade tool is enabled. Our playlist profiles are @trouvelagroove on Spotify (http://spoti.fi/2HEgN70) and Apple Music (https://apple.co/2yLfJgg).

• Utilised Google analytics and SEO’s to increase readership and assess outreach.
• Overseen the administration and management of the site, through social media and written output, arranging of press events, handling of emails, organising of guest writers and any collaborations.
• We carry out interviews with reputable artists (such as Folami from CHIC, Mica Paris, Joey Negro, Joel Culpepper and many more), as well as attending festivals and other music events (gigs, club nights, performances etc.) as press. This is a result of building and continuing a relationship with venue operators (such as The Jazz Cafe and XOYO), events operators (such as Love Supreme Jazz Festival and Reload Festival) and record labels (such as Jalapeno Records and Freestyle Records).

English and Film Studies (BA)Oxford Brookes University
- Oxford, United Kingdom
• Learnt and executed the film production process, understanding how to create, produce, and edit short films. This overlapped with my English degree through improving both my writing skills for academic pieces and my creative writing for scripts.
• I used a variety of audio visual equipment to record and software to edit (Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects).
• Joined Oxford Brookes Musical Theatre Society (Fortune Players) and performed in a musical during all of my three years at university, with a principal role in my final two years. I was involved in the organisation and promotion of these events, alongside some technical support during the weeks of the production.
