I joined Peak as an intern and within five months I was given a full-time role as Copywriter and Marketing Assistant, working in Brand and Growth teams. During my time at Peak, I was part of the content team and contributed to successful campaigns like Sex week and Maths week. These were important campaigns that increased our NPS and UA. I wrote 54 blog posts, following marketing calendars to ensure we created relevant and engaging content for our users. Moreover, I worked closely with experienced writers to improve my copy skills and hone my practice. In 2020, I wrote all the in-app and marketing copy using our in-house style guides and tone of voice guidelines to ensure it was on-brand and customer-centric.
Towards the end of 2019, I took control of the social media channels and doubled engagement on Instagram in three weeks, and saw steady growth thereafter by increasing post frequency and improving design quality. Overall, Peak's Instagram saw an increase of 1.2% in engagement during my time. I was also able to create a rapid workflow for social media posts by working with the design team to create simple templates that improved posting cadence and content. I even trialed various content forms across social channels, as well as sampled several social scheduling tools to determine.
Furthermore, I was able to improve the team's velocity by improving the workflow of translations, delivering more accurate content in a timely fashion while reducing costs. I also helped to improve the SEO rankings for the Peak blog using tools such as AHrefs and Moz, increasing traffic and visibility on Google in the US and UK.
