About me
?I am a senior level website editor and copywriter with over 10 years experience within the fields of beauty, fashion and luxury lifestyle and for brands including Cosmopolitan, L'Oreal and Harrods. I am a natural creative, extremely personable yet with solid experience of working to tight deadlines and in high-pressured environments with high responsibility. ??I graduated from the University of the Arts London with a BA (Hons) Journalism degree before spending the next five years of my career working for Cosmopolitan magazine. Starting out as a Sub-editor, I quickly saw the beauty department as somewhere I aspired to be and after two years, was promoted to Beauty Assistant. I left Cosmopolitan to become Beauty Editor of Essential Guide to Beauty magazine, with an international circulation of 250k per issue and a team of high profile in-house experts including Sharon Dowsett and Trevor Sorbie MBE. When Essential Guide to Beauty completed its run, I became Beauty Editor for Sugar magazine, the UK’s no 1 selling teenage magazine. I also spent time as a freelance Beauty Editor for Fabulous, The Sun and Advertising Copywriter for The Body Shop. It was during my time as Online Editor at Shopstyle, a fashion destination blending content and commerce with over 70 million users which gave me an incredible education into digital. An authentic silicone start-up based in San Francisco, this forward-thinking company was the first to develop a bloggers platform combined with an affiliate link programme. I have strategically worked to enhance my skills over the years. From writing about beauty for magazines, to working client side consulting on product launches and strategy, to advertising copywriting. This ambition to keep learning lead me to my current role, Online Content Manager and Copywriter at Insignia Lifestyle Management. Here I have fully gained an all-encompassing, 360 digital experience - managing multiple platforms, yet also project managing website build.

Created copy for in-store window displays, make-up stands, products, leaflets, newsletters, subscription emails and creative content for The Body Shop website. Briefed directly by product and marketing teams, attended copy approval meetings with legal, signed off final copy from artwork. Copywriter for projects and launches including: Instablur, summer sale, Colour Crush cosmetics, Body Butter re-launch, Drops of Youth.

    CosmopolitanGenerated content for 6 pages of beauty copy per month plus assisted writing monthly main beauty features. * Assisted with styling on shoots in London and abroad. * Booked photographers, models, make-up artists, hair stylists, studios, flights and hotels. * Called in clothes (high street and designer) and completed returns. * Liaised regularly with beauty and fashion PRs, attended press launches, events and trips. * Managed still life photography, researched celebrity images. * Project managed the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards, worked with celebrity judges.
