About me
Manchester-based photographer working predominantly across the North of England. As a successful graduate, I have developed a unique creative vision supported by more than 4 years of practical industry experience and an extended knowledge of classic photographic theory and history. Possessing an affinity for technical accuracy, and a clear understanding of the importance of narrative, I endeavour to create detailed, yet compelling work - whilst maintaining realism and relevancy to the subject throughout. Photographically, I am most interested in people and their relationships with their environment, the landscape, and those around them. The majority of my personal work naturally follows my interests and research; whilst commercially, my work ranges from covering corporate events, to product shoots or producing promotional/marketing material. I have experience both on-location and in studio, having worked across the UK, as well as in London for various periods of time. Preferring a slower, more precise practice - my work is created using photographic film where possible, in addition to digital mediums for both commercial photography and videography.
Projects
  • Hale & Soond
Hale & SoondImages from a series shot for Hale & Soond, a Cumbrian-based outdoor skincare startup - showcasing their all natural, vegan and palm-free skincare range. A mix of lifestyle and product imagery, both on-location and in-studio.
  • V V Rouleaux | Jumpers, Scarves & Cardigans
V V Rouleaux | Jumpers, Scarves & CardigansA small collection from a series shot for V V Rouleaux for their new (2018) collection of handcrafted Jumpers, Scarves and Cardigans. Photographed in a homely National Trust property near Cockermouth, the goal was to produce a set of images showing how each piece might be used or seen naturally around the house, with some quick modelled images for scale.

As a founding director of Digital Marketing/Media Production house, Thrown Overboard Media Co. (TOMCo.), I have cooperatively played an instrumental role in the initial success and setup of the company. With only three permanent staff for the first year, I therefore took on much of the day to day business duties and responsibilities, on top of running each department pertaining to our individual skills. From co-organising business structure, writing up documents such as business plans and proposals for marketing campaigns; to leading all aspects of photographic/stills work through the company, whether that be our own promotional content or work for clients.
