  • I am currently Head of Content and Community at Cura TV, the world’s first video-based mobile marketplace. I joined prior to the launch of the platform, overseeing a significant rebrand for the company. Responsibilities include: • Leading the planning and execution of all marketing activity, including but not limited to advertising, content, events, public relations and social media • Creating, editing and commissioning content across a number of different formats, including a series of short videos and a 32-page A5 magazine • Managing the company’s social media channels and building the brand’s community • Building a network of industry influencers, contributors and brand ambassadors, such as Masterchef winner Tim Anderson • Leading all press activity, with coverage successfully secured in key titles such as Monocle, Protein, Telegraph, The Guardian and The Independent • Aiding business development and onboarding new vendors • Providing vendor and customer support services

Liminal Sounds

  • I am the founder and owner of independent record label, editorial website and event series Liminal Sounds. Handling all aspects of the brand’s activity, I am responsible for everything from managing and editing the website to distribution, marketing and accounting. The brand is driven by a focus on innovative content creation and has received coverage from broadsheet newspapers (The Guardian, The Independent), youth culture publications (Mixmag, SPIN, The Fader, Vice etc.) and national radio stations (BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, NTS, Rinse FM).

  • Listen Up is one of the leading independent music promotion companies in the UK. In two and a half years I helped build the press department from two to twenty employees. Responsibilities included: • Overseeing the smooth running of all facets of the press department alongside the Director • Creating, implementing and executing strategies for press campaigns covering all territories worldwide for clients such as Sony, Universal and Virgin EMI • Account managing all key company campaigns, ensuring the delivery of assets and completion of all timelines and targets • Managing social media growth campaigns for a roster of clients, including artists, record labels and events • Writing and editing all internal and external copy

  • From 2009 to 2013 I worked as a freelance contributor for a number of online and print music publications including ATM, Kmag, MTV and Trap Magazine. I provided editors with concepts for articles and wrote features to specification and deadline. During this time I also built up a substantial network of contacts within the music industry, including PR companies, record labels and artists.

  • I was the first employee hired by the Director at music promotion company Macked. In this role I assisted on all press campaigns as well as liaising with clients, coordinating assets, carrying out research and putting a reporting structure in place. Six months later the company became the press department of radio promotion company Listen Up.
