    Liverpool, United KingdomFreelance
    · Managing Social Media Production/Distribution: Whilst at Bread & Butter In my role at bread and butter I have been put in charge of monitoring and producing the social media marketing, I really enjoy this role as it allows me to showcase the truly exciting parts of my workplace that often would not be seen by many customers. I work with the owners to devise ways in which we can create a greater marketing presence in the Liverpool area, this includes but is not limited to leafleting in local hotels, targeting our paid social media campaigns and working to try and collaborate with other local businesses. · Production of a Gin Infusions Menu: When I first began my I suggested to the owner to make use of the skills I obtained at G&J to produce a Gin infusions menu, this utilizes the best local produce we can obtain to create seasonal infusions which we can offer to our guests. This aspect of the business has become a great success and have been regularly requested by many customers. · Directly Interacting With Guests: As we are a restaurant I am in constant interaction with our guests where I get to ensure that they enjoy their time with us and have a great meal.

In my Bachelors I researched and started to distill my own gin at home, this led me to obtain a role upon graduating at G&J where I was part of the team of various ages, responsible for producing a wide variety of spirits from some popular supermarket spirits along with G&Js own spirits that were shipped globally. · Promoted in my first three months from Quality Control to the Still House. · Working to tight schedules under high pressure. · Working with various programs such as excel in a setting outside of academia. · Every day would vary drastically which meant that I would need to be flexible and adapt to the task of the day

Key Modules: Research project with Unilever, Asymmetric Synthesis & Synthetic strategy, Advanced Spectroscopy, Introduction to Nano Medicine. Project: Optimisation of raw material synthesis (in partnership with Unilever) Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis led. In my masters project I am working on analysing issues that have arisen with the synthesis of a new antimicrobial compound. This project has been based heavily in researching the reactivity of the molecule and ways in which we can remove various harmful chemicals from the synthesis in an effort to reduce the environmental impact of the synthesis and to stop various side products from the compound reacting with itself when being stored.

Key Modules: Molecular Modelling, Heterocyclic Chemistry & Drug Synthesis, Bio renewable Chemicals from Biomass, Further Inorganic Chemistry Thesis: Devising an experiment for the 2nd year in UoL chemistry labs.] Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis led. In this project I was tasked with the design of an experiment to reinforce the knowledge obtained within the second year inorganic course. This project required me to research various experiments that my supervisor and I thought would be appropriate, then I would go to the lab and observe an issues with the syntheses devised and then collate all the data required. This data included NMR spectra, Mass Spectrometry data along with various other characterising spectra. This project was an overall success and is still part of the degree course at UoL today.
