With a successful 15+ year career in fashion & sportswear, there is nothing that I don’t know about apparel and how to deliver a project’s vision.
Designer across many product types for a wide variety of companies, from large corporations to small directional brands, retail, wholesale & e-comm.
I have an excellent understanding of the creative v commercial balance. My knowledge and experience of the design and development process are plain to see, but I believe my skills in understanding the business side of apparel are equally relevant. Working on business strategies alongside partners in marketing, production and customer analysis are all key to establishing a strong brand identity. Ensuring the product I am responsible for is directional and creative but always 100% on brand.
I’m honest and open and want to inspire and motivate. Clear lines of communication create a happy and productive working environment. Giving my team the freedom to create, but with clear objectives so we can achieve the best products possible.
I am also the founder of a small premium e-commerce sportswear retail company, Gibson Girl, www.gibsongirl.co.uk I put my extensive design, business and leadership skills into action to produce a profit making, fashion forward, technical activewear brand. Including concept, design and development, web development, digital marketing thorough to accounting, fulfilment and distribution.
