About me
“Actors are often pigeon holed early in their career and are rarely given the opportunity to try something new. I feel privileged that I have been given opportunities to make what might have been considered crazy choices and which have allowed me to develop work in multiple mediums.” My work is heavily influenced by the teaching of Chattie Salaman, an inspirational teacher at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama (training 1988 and 1991). My process aligns the philosophy of a ‘poorer’ theatre where the actor is reliant on their own body and imagination to create a story, with basic Meisner technique. This methodology allows an actor’s imagination to be released through simple means, creating fresh and innovative performance.
