I studied MA Translation and Business Interpreting, one of the most competitive programs in University of Bath.
With a focus on business, we did extensive practices in financial and marketing translation, and I participated in a localisation project with a lecturer and 4 senior translators for a local company.
I was selected by the department to take up a month long internship in a UN Organization, International Maritime Organization (IMO) as a translator. I was in charge of translating and editing conference reports, internal communication and press releases.
My dissertation was about translation and localisation of perfume descriptions. Employing mainstream translation theories, I delved deep in strategies and skills applicable for translation of fashion marketing materials.
