About me

After gaining A-Levels in Media and English Literature I decided to follow my passions with a BA (Hons) degree in Film, graduating from the University of Falmouth in 2010. Professionally writing from 2008, I quickly worked my way up from local publications to regional magazines and eventually the national music press before graduating. Moving to London in the summer of 2011 I continued to pursue my writing ambitions, starting my time in the capital by contributing heavily to Clash Magazine's August edition then going on to cover gigs, screenings, conduct interviews and the like on a weekly basis. I was later lucky to combine my love of film, writing and the arts sector when starting my role as a Marketing Assistant at The Ritzy, Brixton in 2013. This role has gave me the opportunity to handle many different challenges while allowing a creative mindset to influence promotions and the workplace as a whole. Also in this role I've had the pleasure of working alongside the BFI for the London Film Festival twice, Human Rights Watch, BBC and many other great organisations. In May 2015 I was promoted to Marketing Manager with my own assistant. Specialties: Creative marketing briefs, leading events/hospitality teams, screenings/Q&A's, supervisor. Writing: I specialise in music and film features, specifically retrospective features, album analysis and artist interviews.
