About me
I am a recent American studies and English Lit graduate from the University of Kent. A creative mind who enjoys learning new things. Hard working and always willing to be of help and assistance. Confident, motivated and works well in new environments. Not only approachable, but has great communication skills and works well in a team. Passionate about sports and travel. I spent a year abroad studying in the United States where I took courses on African-American history and literature. My new found knowledge combined with my love of sports lead me to write my dissertation on how and why black athletes uses major league sports to protest socio-political inequality. Sports is a passion of mine, especially American football and I was pioneer for women joining the sport at my university. I was elected game day manager twice and ran events with the aim of encouraging more women to join the team. This gained nationwide coverage on the BBC and I also featured in an award-winning short documentary. Throughout university I was part of the Kent Falcons American football team, the drama society and the dance society. As a committee member of the Kent Falcons I organised fixtures, travel arrangements and managed the social media accounts. I am a creative looking for work experience, internships and opportunities to grow and learn whether it be in advertising, marketing, social media or writing.
