Having been born and bred in London Hackney, I know firsthand what it means to avoid the dangers of taking the wrong path whilst simultaneously finding inspiration amongst a community oozing with creativity; it’s one of the many reasons why I chose to study Media Practice and Theory BA.
Studying various modules has inspired me and made me more appreciative about the different forms of media outlets that include TV, film and radio and the creative process involved to produce these various forms of entertainment. I’ve always been fascinated about the way media and can be powerful by entertaining, informing and influencing global society, and how it can also create a hybrid of cultures.
My current experience includes both an extensive production and performance based portfolio, including campaigns for Royal Enfield, Puma and Clearasil, and for sitcoms ‘Fried’ (BBC Three/Netflix) and ‘London Irish’ (Channel 4). Each experience has intricately shaped me into the person I am today; teaching me the importance of characteristics such as resilience and perseverance.
However it’s my most recent role as Video Producer/Editor to the Senior creative at Kitebox, that has enabled me to develop the use of my intuition and imagination to shine through. Competent with most features of Premiere pro and color grading (Lumetri and Colorista), I’ve been able to breath life into the visual aesthetic and narrative that our clients want.
Due to my nature of being approachable, I am a warm person, good at understanding people and their needs. Being able to put myself into other people’s shoes, I have been able to build long lasting relationships throughout my career. As an individual who is constantly seeking to improve, I am more than willing to continue learning from the best around me.
