I’m a conceptually driven artist who works in a range of media and tries to allow the idea to define the way in which the art is made.
I try to be as eco friendly as possible, by incorporating the use of recycled resources, which reflects my general approach to conserving life.
Most recently I have been thinking about creation through destruction looking at the theory and beauty in breaking. This has allowed me to work in a range of media: sculpture, live performance, public interaction, playing with dying technology, video, and digital photography.
During the study of my most recent practice, I found ‘Glitch’ art fits into my work nicely; most commonly, it takes digital media and breaks the file which distorts the video, picture… which I think is creating something organic through digital means and breaking the file system.
