About me
Dear. Sirs / Madam With the permanent closure of my employer at the end of February 2019, I believe it is the right time for me to start my new career as I believe I will be able to bring you with the best possible result with all my past experiences. To provide you with little history of my life, I was born in Korea and live there until I was 11 years old. After that, I was at New Zealand for 2 years and our family decided to come and live in UK. I have lived in 3 different countries which have allowed me to grow up with open mind to all different situations and cultures. As result, I do not get afraid of new challenges and know how to get the best output that I can produce in each and every challenge that are coming to me like the permanent closure of my employer. Therefore, I would take this challenge and show you what I can do. I have worked as a project manager at Korea Creative Content Agency (Kocca) Europe with government funded head office in Korea. As a government funded agency, our role was to create and promote Korean creative industry businesses in Europe. I have worked with numbers of Korean businesses to promote themselves in many of Europe markets such as Brand Licensing Europe, Mipcom, Natpe, The Great Escape and London Fashion Week. My main role was to gather promotional ideas to provide Korean businesses a chance to gain B2B business opportunities in Europe by hosting a showcase with a networking party, B2B meetings, collaborative workshops and promoting them using SNS. As Kocca covers most parts of the creative industry of Korea, I was able to build experiences in Fashion, Music, License, Drama, Format and Character which I believe these experiences will shine. By working with Korean businesses that’s searching their opportunities in Europe, I was able to gain understanding of what European buyers are looking for. This understanding will allow me to create highest possible efficiency for the communication between clients and their possible buyers. Other than organising projects for Korean businesses, my other main role is to handle Korea Creative Content Agency Europe’s all office admin duties from dealing with all suppliers to the business to producing monthly and quartering statistical reports for the business including preparing all documents for VAT returns. When I was working as an Assistance Officer for the Kexim Bank (UK) Limited in London, my main duties were and to prepare Korean regulatory and statistical returns for PRA and the Parent Bank (The Export-Import Bank of Korea) in a report format monthly and quarterly, providing secretarial and personal assistant duties to Korean staffs, providing general assistance on overall general affairs, providing office supplies and stationeries in good order and maintaining annual filing lists as well as keeping an efficient file storage level. From this experience, I have gained more knowledge on accounting and finance industry as my previous experiences were focused on the Media industry. I believe that I will be able to combine my previous experiences and have widened my sight on financial side. Moreover, I have more experience in the customer service field as a ‘Customer Experience Peak Stylist’ at AllSaints in London with 9 weeks contract. I have applied for this job to have experience in the Customer Experience industry to improve my communicating skills. I assure that my customer experience and skills have improved more than I thought it would be as AllSaints have offered me a permanent job position at the end. This experience has helped me to provide a smooth communication between businesses in Korea and in UK to insure there are no misunderstandings to happen at any time. Additionally, I have worked as ‘Global Digital Service Operator ‘at CJ E&M in Seoul, South Korea. I wanted to experience life in South Korea where I was born. During this time, I was able to learn how Korean companies work and what they would like to achieve. As CJ E&M is the leading media contents and broadcasting company, I was able to gain the field experience with the understanding of how established Korean businesses work. By working at the global sector of the company where they introduce K-Pop culture to global fans all over the world, my duty was to provide marketing and online services to global fans of K-Pop. I had to create and select contents from other contents teams within the business and promote them on Mwave; mwave.interest.me. In order for me to increase my efficiency of work, I have visited many other fan pages and researched contents and their trends so that Mwave can gain more visitors. While I was at the position, one of the Poll I have made have hit the biggest participation since Mwave was opened. I am a very fast learner and enthusiastic person not afraid to have new challenges. I believe that I will become a great team worker and will try my best to give high efficiency of work and best performance of my ability which you will never regret. Thank you SangBin PARK
