About me

Sara Aldridge grew up in a small town in Norfolk, England fascinated by the ageless countryside landscapes, where she began to photograph each one that caught her eye to create physical memories of the visions she had seen.Currently Sara is creating work that combines her two main interests, literature and photography, creating bodies of work that surrounds the thoughts she has towards her chosen literature. Using a combination of both analogue and digital photography, Sara uses a range of mediums that includes medium format and 35 mm film photography. She has been experimenting with the different mediums through landscape photography and portraiture in both university projects and her own personal work.

  Love and other drugsA previously made project that explore the national shortage of medication in the UK through 80s pop imagery. Inspired by the protests held by Nan Goldin
• OwynA shoot for a friend/work colleague. The idea was to create a positivity shoot to make them feel more 'at home' in their own skin.
• Exploring Sebald further.Within this short body of work, I wanted to use the time I spent exploring my local landscape as a photographic exercise to allow my brain to acknowledge the connections I have made through literature and photography.
